One large Utah web design company to hit the news in early 2011 is the once successful HIT Web Design. This company was number 22 on the Inc. 500 list in 2007 and appeared again on it in 2008. In 2010, the Utah web programming company came under fire from the Utah Better Business Bureau when customers and employees registered over 900 complaints. Customers are claiming the company took money and did not complete work while employees are claiming they are owed back pay. HIT was a top Utah web design firm but it appears mismanagement and lack of proper direction took the company to its knees.
HIT has not filed for bankruptcy as of yet, but the move is expected especially as other Utah web programming companies move in to pick up the hole left by HIT. These companies are offering special deals and discounts to ex-HIT customers who were taken by the Utah web design firm. The IT industry is very competitive and when a company cannot keep up, plenty of others to step in and offer better business to those who are not happy with their current utah web programming business.
